Arts and Crafts - All Ages
Description
In this class we will be making different kinds of crafts. We will use everything from paper plates and googly eyes to yarn and pipecleaners, in order to create fun and memorable crafts for your kids. Each week will have a theme, and we will do crafts and projects based off of our theme of the week.
Chess - All Ages
Description
Chess is one of the oldest and most beloved games in history. In this class, students will learn the basic mechanics of chess, then gradually learn more advanced tactics and techniques. All the while, students will get the chance to play many practice games with their peers and try new techniques as they are learned, practicing critical thinking skills and sportsmanship. Also discussed will be the etiquette and rules of formal chess play.
LEGO Engineering
Description
In LEGO Engineering, students will be given various challenges to complete in teams using LEGO robotics. Each team of students will be given an unassembled LEGO set and will have to use creativity and technical knowledge to assemble their own robot. Students will have to think outside the box and innovate to succeed in challenges such as battle bots, racing, and catapult. Many physics concepts will be introduced; levers, gearboxes, and all manner of simple machines will be discussed and applied. Students will have to implement such ideas into their designs in order to complete many of the challenges.

Students taking Theology will recieve a well-rounded introduction to theology, learning the various perspectives on key points of theology.
Computer Programming - Ages 12+
Requirements
A laptop will be required. It can be a Chromebook, Windows or Apple PC.
Description
In this class we will learn the basics of programming using Python. We will learn the fundamental logic that is required to develop more complex programs, along with basic syntax and programming methods. Throughout the semester, students will be assigned to complete exercises that will encourage creative thinking and help students retain the material covered in class. Halfway through the semester, there will be a final project students will choose with the teacher's discretion. They will work to complete this project for the second half of the semester. This will allow them to directly apply what they have learned to a project that they have an interest in.
Game Development - Ages 12+
Requirements
A laptop is strongly recommended. It must be a Windows or Apple PC, a Chromebook will not work for this class.
Description
In Game Development, we will discover all of the ways different skills work together to create a video game. Throughout this class students will have the opportunity to make a game themselves. Topics covered will include level design, character design, story writing, video game music, marketing, and video game art. Students will be put into groups where they will apply their unique skills to create a video game as a team.
